Museum für Naturkunde Berlin – Audio Guide and Augmented Reality
The Museum of Natural History in Berlin is a crowd puller with its permanent and special exhibitions. shoutr labs has developed a web-based audio guide for the various exhibitions in cooperation with the museum.
The web guide can be downloaded to their smartphone by scanning a QR code in the entrance area of the museum.
With the help of the audio guide, visitors are guided through the corresponding exhibition and receive additional information on the individual exhibits via their own cell phone or tablet. To ensure accessibility, there is also a highlight tour in sign language. Videos with sign language speakers were produced for selected exhibits and uploaded via shoutr.CMS into the multimedia guide of the museum.
Staff members of the Natural History Museum enter each new piece of information into their personalizedshoutr.CMS. Via theshoutr.Multilingual the texts are accessible to visitors in different languages. Users of the shoutr.Appalso have the option of accessing exhibition content outside the museum.

At the moment, the app offers augmented reality content on the special exhibition “digitize!”. The immersive experiences this creates are another highlight of the museum visit.
